I’m Mark Sheppard, and it is truly an honor to serve as the Taylor Creek Elementary Military Liaison. After a 24-year career in the U.S. Army, I retired in 2013. This is now my 14th year in public education, and I am proud to continue serving the TCE family as both Principal and Military Liaison.

Taylor Creek takes great pride in being home to many military families. In our ongoing commitment to supporting those who serve our nation and community, we have established a variety of resources specifically for military-connected families and students. Through collaboration with Fort Hood and other community partners, we work to ensure that military-connected students receive the support and care they need throughout their time in our school district.

Our dedicated team includes the school military liaison, several military-connected staff members, and Kasey Borland, our Youth Sponsorship Program Coordinator. This program is designed to help military-connected students feel welcomed, connected, and supported as they transition into Taylor Creek Elementary and throughout their time here.
I am genuinely excited, eager, and humbled to continue this journey at Taylor Creek. Together with our team, I am committed to fostering an environment where every military-connected student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
